1. 9-Chloro-10-anthracenealdehyde, 9-anthracenealdehyde, and 9-butylmercapto-10-anthracenealdehyde react with dialkylphosphorous acids in the presence of either sodium alcoholate or triethylamine to give the corresponding dialkyl esters of anthranyl-α-hydroxyphosphonic acids. 2. Even under drastic conditions, 9-chloro-10-anthracenealdehyde does not react with triethyl phosphite. © 1970 Consultants Bureau. |
