Abstract

1. The synthesis has been performed for the first time of complex compounds of-triisopropyl phosphite with silver halides and of complex compounds of triisopropylphosphite and,of benzyl 1-methyltrimethylene phosphite with cuprous thiocyanate. 2. The molecular weights have been determined by the cryoscopic method of complex compounds of certain full esters of phosphorous acid with copper and silver halides. For compounds of the type P(OR)3·AgX, P(OR)3·CuX, P(OR)3·CuCNS, values corresponding to triple molecules have been obtained. 3. Complex compounds of triisopropyl phosphate and of triphenyl phosphate with aurous chloride have been synthesized. Determination of their molecular weights by the cryoscopic method (benzene solution) has shown that they occur in the monomeric form. © 1953 Consultants Bureau.
