dc.description.abstract | Voluntary childlessness as a phenomenon widely spread in Western countries and is becoming more popular in Russia. Western researchers consider this phenomenon as consequence of global changes in social institutions. In Russia childfree is seen as an alternative and a threat to the values of a traditional family. The authors of the article show how justified this truth is, and reveals the prevalence of this ideology in Russian society. As methods used: secondary data analysis, focused and expert interviews, focus group, mass survey. According to the results of the study, we can talk about the sufficient prevalence of the movement in Russia and at the same time about its rooting in the Rus-sian-speaking segment of the Internet. | |
