dc.description.abstract | In article research trends in the sphere of a Post-Soviet phenomenon judgmentof sharp activationof new religious movements are considered. The main study directions fornew religious movements in the Ukrainian historiography are presented in the works of E. Barker and V. Martinovichhaving studied this phenomenon. Traditionally in Ukraine, mainly five directions: confessional, anti-cult, academic, human rights and pro-cult, specifics of new religious movements in different research publications are reflected. Among the existing directions quantitatively prevails academic and ill-defined is an anti-cult direction. Author's researches in which studying a phenomenon of new religious movements is observed in several directions are marked out.
