Modern world with its speed and technical development requires advanced technical skills from people, detailed knowledge of the sphere they are involved in their professional working life, and strong career determination for the sustainable development. Junior Skills is a program for early career determination and guidance. It is the basics of vocational training and competitions of students in professional excellence. The research aims to develop diagnostic tools to assess the effectiveness of early professional self-determination programs implementation. Junior Skills is a unique Russian educational practice that differs from the World Skills movement. The experience of the educational program implementation according to the Junior Skills standards “Electronics and Mobile Robotics” on the profiles of “Mobile Robotics”, “Electronics” and “Prototyping” is generalized. The stages and diagnostics of hard skills and soft skills are shown. The Junior Skills performance monitoring model includes three analytical lines, criteria and indicators: 1) hard skills (indicators: level of subject knowledge in specialized subjects; level of practical skills); 2) soft skills (indicators: general process phasing, purposefulness, insistence, accuracy in task solving, self-organization ability to focus on what is happening, ability for self-education Selfeducation) and 3) personal and professional self-realization (participation in competitions and projects).
