dc.description.abstract © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. The paper analyzes the concepts and relations between them in the RuWordNet digital thesaurus of the Russian language. Semantically related words automatically extracted from the corpus of texts are compared with the words of the thesaurus. The characteristic cases of information gap (omission of word meanings and semantic relationships) in the thesaurus are revealed, their causes of a computer and cognitive nature are described. Recommendations on improving the RuWordNet thesaurus are given.
