dc.description.abstract The combination of silver nitrate with a thiacalix[4]arene derivative bearing at the lower rim four benzonitrile groups leads in the crystalline phase to the formation of a 3-D coordination network in which the organic tectons are connected by decanuclear silver nanoclusters. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2009.
