dc.description.abstract The results of study of the current and voltage waves (CVW) induced by lightning discharge in a resistive cable line with nonlinear elements are presented. The cases described by the inhomogeneous telegraph equations and the nonlinear equations of the KdV-type with the resistive terms are considered. In first case the analytical solutions are obtained, and in the second case it is shown numerically that the solutions of soliton and non-soliton types can take place.
